Time Drill
5 Min Partner Passing
  • Sliding: We don't want to slide unless we need to, we were sliding early need to time better
  • North/South East/West dodging (clear through and make lanes)
  • On and Off ball picks (princeton and deuce)
5 Min Active Stretching
5 Min Single North/South East/West Shooting
  • Ball start on side, 4 guys in
  • Two passes, bottom guy clears through and dodges


7 Min Give and Go Shooting to X


30 Min Skeleton Plays
  • 14 set (teams will probably be pressing out)
    • Red middie on wings
    • Black middie in the crease (Wait and Jonas) - attack on wings
    • Gray middie line more defensive focus (we need to have a tenacious defensive line) - Grayson and Mack in crease, Malek high
10 Min Survivor Drill
  • 3 v 3, one guy at x, two guys up top
  • Start with an alley dodge
  • Force the slide, second slide, recover
  • Ball gets to X, Slide and double, etc
  • Teach the defenders how to get beat and recover say the term "away"
  • Play at 3 quarters speed
  • Once all 3 offensive guys dodge it turns into a 3 v 3


10 Min 3v2 to 4v3
  • Setup 3 lines of dark and 2 lines of white behind the cage
  • Out of bounds up top is the box line
  • Coach throws a ball to the dark line
  • Defense and Offense play 3v2
    • Offense sets up in a triangle with a guy at x
  • Once a shot, turnover or goal happens, coach passes the ball to one of the two white players behind
  • Then the 3 dark players are on defense and the 4 white players are on offense
    • Offense sets up in a box



10 Min 3v2 Sideways
10 Min 6 v 6 - Situations and Missions
  • Situations:
    • 2 min left, down by 1
    • 2 min left, keep in it the box
    • End line Clear - 20/10
    • 1 min left down by a goal, faceoff
  • Missions:
    • Offensive: Seal pick, Pass Down - Pick Down, Aggressive drive to the cage, Off Ball Pick, Isolate the short stick defender, Create picks to force short stick vs attack
    • Defensive: Heavy, 3-Man, Standard Def, Camel, Slide Early
