* 12 players are needed for the drill (6 offense, 6 defense)
* The team with the ball sets up in a 2 - 2 - 2
* Each defender is given a number 1 - 6
The offense attempts to move the ball around, with adjacents cutting out for help and the rest cutting and returning for the ball
The coach calls out a number on defense, and that defenseman doubles the ball. If two numbers are called, then its a triple team
The offensive player whose man runs for the double turns and cuts towards the goal for a pass
The offensive players closest to the double move towards the ball circling for assistance
The offensive player who gets doubled looks up for the cutting player or the adjacent player who is providing him assistance and makes a pass

Note: We may want to have 1 or 2 coaches play defense and provide the double, to kick start the action.

Variation: Have the player with the ball start at the midline and slide to double or triple with the two top defenders.

==Ground Ball Two Pass Drills==
One way to better the odds of a goal being scored is to fight for the ground ball, make two passes to the open man. The below drills help with this game scenario.

===3 on 3 - Rule of 3===
This drill teaches the importance of attacking the ball and communicating with your team mates.

6 players are used for the drill, 3 per team
The rule of 3 is one player goes for man, the other ball, the last hovers and circles
A coach rolls a ball out and the players call man, ball, and the 3rd person hovers/circles to try and get the ball if its kicked out.
The “man” player looks to box out the closet competitor
The “ball” player runs through the ball and tries to scoop it, if its not possible, the player looks to flip the ball out to the 3rd player hovering and circling.
The 3rd player runs in half circles or full circles around the scrum looking to get a ball kicked out to them.
===1 on 1 Ground Ball - Pass Pass Shoot Drill===
This drill mimics the need to make a pass quickly after successfully scooping up a ground ball.

2 players, a coach, and a goalie are required
2 players line up and the coach gently rolls out a ball
The 2 players fight for the ball, the first person to get it passes to the coach on the sideline, and then breaks to the goal for another pass
Upon receiving the pass, the player attempts to score
The player that does not get the ground ball, plays defense

===Ground Ball - Pass Pass Shoot Drill===
This is a 3 person drill
Two lines at the midline, starting in the alleys
A coach rolls a ball out, to one side, the person picks up the ball and passes to X
The X player runs around the net and hits the 3rd person who shoots
The goal is to scoop up the ground ball, pass to x, pass to the 3rd person for the shot. If the ball is dropped the next group goes
