The goal of this drill is to have your defense talk and do 1 and 2 position slides
* Place a goalie in goal
* The drill turns into 3 on 3
* Create 4 lines of defense and offensive players (8 total lines) around the goal, 1 line at each corner just outside the box
* Create a 5th line of offensive and defensive players to play in the crease
* Place two piles of balls at each of the top corners
* An offensive and defensive player runs into the crease
* Ball starts at one of the top corners, the offensive player with the ball goes 1 on 1
* If he beats his man, the crease defender slides, offensive player looks to pass it to the crease
* The offensive player behind and diagnal from where the drill starts runs towards GLE
* The 2nd defenseman slides and covers the crease
* Coach should emphasize two slides

3 Person Slides

The goal of this drill is to have your defense talk and do 1 and 2 position slides

  • Place a goalie in goal
  • The drill turns into 3 on 3
  • Create 4 lines of defense and offensive players (8 total lines) around the goal, 1 line at each corner just outside the box
