Time Drill
5 Min Expectations
  • Travel not rec
  • Coaches are here to guide you, only you can make you excellent
  • Team before self. Balls in the bucket, water bottles etc.
  • 60 balls at the end of practice, sprint for every lost ball
5 Min Active Stretching
10 Min Diamond Passing

A great drill to help kids create space as an adjacent pass receiver.

  • Use 8 guys per goal, so we can get alot of reps catching and throwing
  • Setup 4 lines around the goal no more than 5 yards out (2 guys in each line)
  • Line goes inside so the guys can v cut in then out
  • Pass the ball around, but make sure each pass receiver is v cutting out to receive the pass
  • 3 steps towards the goal, then 3 steps out catching on the outside
  • Swing the ball around the goal
  • Call out reverse to move the ball in the opposite direction
  • Make sure kids are catching and throwing with their outside hands


15 Min Ground Ball - Driving to side and pass to X

  • 5 Man Drill - Setup in a 2 - 2 - 1 or 6 man drill in a 2-2-2

Top Left starts with ball, run towards top right and passes to cutting top right. Top right passes to X. Two crease guys rotate in and out, back pedaling out of the crease. X makes a quick pass to the outside crease guy. Outside crease guy shoots.

  • Rotate 3 outside guys, and crease guys after 2 turns


5 Min Water
15 Min 4 on 3 Fast Breaks
  • Have attack setup in a clear formation
  • Run unsettled fast breaks, teach positioning, clearing through, not letting fast break guy past you, always have an outlet

Man Up Team

  • Outlaw
  • Syracuse

Man Down Team

  • Box and 1
  • Two Man down
  • rest of team plays offense for man down (get into different sets, move the ball quickly)
10 Min Man Up vs Man Down

15 Min Offense with Shadow Defense
  • Rotate middie lines at offense
  • Make sure we dump to 1 or 2 and redirect to the other side
  • Curl back and redirect to the weakside
  • 6's positioning on plays from the top
  • Run Plays
    • Run proper 35 and 53
    • Run 32 and 51 with trigger
    • Run 55
    • Run 66
    • Run 12 and 21
10 Min Jog + Sled Pull
  • Have kids jog back and forth between two goals
  • Have the 50lb sled going perpendicular to the kids jogging
  • Each kid cycles through the sled while the rest of the kids jog
