Goals for Practice are shooting, catching and throwing with both hands, and defensive positioning

Minutes Drill Information
6:00 to 6:15 Warmup Keep Away
  • Build an area with cones about the size of the top of the box to the mid line
  • Have 6 defenders and 5 offense
  • Offense keeps the ball away without going out of bounds
  • If ball turns over, subtract a defender and add an offense
  • Variation: If ball touches ground, turnover


6:15 to 6:20 3 Man Weave
6:20 to 6:25 Water
6:25 to 6:40 3 Person Around X Shooting Drill
  • One guy in Alley, gets ground ball
  • Passes to guy at x
  • x guy passes to a guy cutting 10 yards out from GLE and shoot
  • Rotate positions, no goalies


6:40 to 6:50 2 on 2 - top and bottom
6:50 to 6:55 Water
6:55 to 7:15 Stations - 2 groups 10 min at each station
  • Station 1: 1 on 1 defense
  • Station 2: Wing Dodge and Crease Picking Drill

Use these Dodge and Crease Picking Drills to teach your players how to practice feeding out a dodge, off-ball movement and basic offensive tactical concepts.

  • Start with two lines of players and one player in the middle, picking away.
  • The first line will have the balls and drive in.
  • The player in the middle sets a pick on the outside for the player on the far wing. That player comes in, bumps shoulders, catches and shoots.
