* As the defender clears, the clearing middie should stretch his way up the field
* If defender goes over the opposite side middie needs to get back. Look to draw the middie covering same side middie and then dump

Rules of Clearing
* Rule 1: Use the whole field
** its basically a full field man up
** Good spacing screenshot
* Rule 2: Make sure when you force the ball it is worth it
* Rule 3: Use the transition rules
** Never let the ball beat you to the cage
** If you have the ball and not covered, get someone to cover you as fast as you can, so you can make the next pass
** If you are covered move the ball
* Rule 4: Never sub your short sticks during the clear
* Rule 5: Do Not clear the ball up the box side until all subs have occurred
* Rule 6: Identify the attackman 'Name has attack' aka "aidan has attack"
* Rule 7: Shortern your passes
** Advance the ball out of your own box before maing passes down the field
** Make a 15 or less yard pass
* Rule 8: Midfielder furthest from the ball has onside responsiblity
* Rule 9: Never overthrow the over pass except if you are the goalie
* Rule 10: Switching fields is fundamental (get the ball to the weakside of the field)
** Just as it is important to get the ball to the backside in offense, switching fields is how to create open looks in the clear

Types of Clears

Diamond Clear
* Closes defensemen runs to the box to get the clearing middie on the field (CM is a good stick handler)
* When goalie is walking up the field, cheat ball side to shortern the space and increase the distance to the weak side defender

32 Clear
* Get your ss middies in the middle of the field and low
* defender runs off and clearing middie comes on

Clear against a 10 Man Ride
* Spread two attack really far and low (so goalie has to move alot)
* Stack ss1, ss2, LSM, CM at the box moving
* Move the ball quickly
* If someone has a long shot call it out and have attack back it up. Shoot it at the top of the goal, so it goes in or goes over
* When you have no one to pass to, throw it to the coffin

Situational changes
* If all 3 attack crowd the goalie, run the 32 clear so two SS middies are low for the quick pass
