Ground Ball Bounce
Often times when playing on turf, passes are made down field and they fall short of hitting a player in the sticks. The ball bounces and kids can't react in time. This drill will help deal with bounce passes.
- On turf, make two lines of kids, or 4 lines (opposite of each other)
- Kids do a basic line drill but bounce pass to each other
- Next have long pass down the field to another kid, but to make the pass short, so the receiver must react to the bounce pass
- Finally work on clear like patterns up the field and have kids react to bounce passes while running
