Numbers Drill

The goal of this drill is to get kids to react to being man down with a random number of kids

  • Divide your team into offensive and defensive lines
  • Place the offensive line outside the box at top with the balls
  • Place the defensive line at GLE outside the box
  • Put a goalie in the goal
  • Coach Yells out a number 1-6
  • The number of players that the coach yelled will be equal to the number of offensive players that jump into play
  • The defensive players run out with number minus 1
  • The drill turns into an X v X-1 drill
  • Example: If the coach calls 4, then the drill is a 4 v 3.
