Minutes Drill Information
6:00 to 6:15 Warmup Keep Away
  • Build an area with cones about the size of the top of the box to the mid line
  • Have 6 defenders and 5 offense
  • Offense keeps the ball away without going out of bounds
  • If ball turns over, subtract a defender and add an offense
  • Variation: If ball touches ground, turnover


6:15 to 6:20 Off Ball Movement Discussion
  • 90% of the time you don't have the ball in lacrosse, use your feet to get open, set picks etc
6:20 to 6:25 Water
6:25 to 6:40 Shooting Drill Slow Break

  • No goalie
  • 4 lines form box around goal
  • Top right person passes down to GLE lower person, that person cuts turns towards X and passes to bottom left
  • Top left runs to set pick and top right comes down and gets pass from bottom left and shoots.
  • Rotate lines to the left
6:40 to 6:50 Off-Hand Only Passing & Catching
6:50 to 6:55 Water
6:55 to 7:15 Stations - 2 groups 10 min at each station
  • Station 1: Question Mark Ground Ball
  • Station 2: Face off battle
  • Station 3: 1 on 1 defense
