Triangle Passing Drill
This drill is meant to be an alternative to line drills and gets many touches for kids passing and catching.
- Have your kids get in groups of 3 and form a triangle
- Make sure kids are moving their feet slightly when catching and throwing
- Do some of the following
- Pass and Catch with the outside hand, switching hands
- Pass all righty or lefty
- Push Pass
- Throw backs, kids starting moving in one direction and throw back to the person behind them
- Catch and Roll dodge
- Ground ball roll while rotating
- 3 guys in a line with quick passing

North/South East/West Passing and Shooting
- Variation: A cutter - Guy that starts the pass, cuts on the 3rd guy and shoots
- Variation: Blow a whistle when its time to go

1v0 to 2v1 GB Drill
- 1v0
- Roll ball to self and use proper GB technique
- Curl in a question mark pattern and hit outlet pass
- 2v1
- Roll ball out but now with 1 defender trailing
- Outlet pass must break to the left or right to create proper passing lane

Two Man pick and roll shooting at top and bottom
- "Pass & Pick" concept
- Teach proper pick technique and mention types (standard, slip, back, razor)
- Where your butt is aimed is the direction picker must take
- Pick from the inside out
- 2v1 from the top and bottom
- (1) Dodger → (Static) Defender/Coach → (2) Picker/Roller
- Defender takes away one option. Make a decision!!!
- Go to the goal

Yale 1v1 ground ball to 4v3
- Goalie in net with team divided into equal teams
- 4 lines around the box with each team (8 total lines)
- Coach roles a ball out to one corner, the fight for the GB, the winning team is offense, the losing player is out of the drill, but his color stays in and it becomes a 4v3

Drill: Pressure Exits
- Goal of the drill is to have the guy winning the clamp exist under pressure
- 66% set up (one guy is going 66% clamped and the other guy is ready to go)
- coach/other specialists circled around
- Control clamp and get it to yourself
- Exit while avoiding pressure/ball hitting ground
- Coach/Other players attack (can use football pads) - try to get out clean
Drill: 66% clamed vs Belly to Helmet
- Goal of the drill is to have the Belly to Helmet guy force a GB scrum

Rondo Drill to transition drill
- Sacred Heart calls this the Loyola drill
- Have goalie, 3 attack, 3 defense in goal
- At the midline, send in 3 v 2 or 3 v 3 middies, pass the ball around in the middle with x consecutive passes, hit the coach with the ball, coach starts the transition into 6 v 5 or 6 v 6
