Horsey Drill 3 Man Redirection
The purpose of this drill is to teach attack behind the goal to turn back and redirect the ball the other way when doubled and no other option exists
- Take your attack and a few middies that want to play attack
- Setup 3 guys in a triangle with a guy starting with the ball at x
- The man at x, starts with the ball and picks a side, the guy at GLE clears through the crease
- The man at x, breaks GLE and the turns back, dodging first then changing hands
- The 3rd guy who was at opposite GLE is now at X, and the ball is redirected to him
- The 3rd guy goes around the goal passes to the 2nd guy who shoots
- If you are going left, you catch left hand, if going right you catch with the right hand

3 on 3 Add One Back Cut Drill
- http://www.laxpower.com/laxnews/news.php?story=31679&page=1
- 3 defenders and 4 offense
- 2 lines defenders on one side of GLE, 1 on the other. 3 lines of attack behind the goal, 1 line at the midline
- The drill begins with a ground ball or a pass, and we play 3v3 for 5 to 10 seconds. Then the coach might yell out, "add one," and the fourth offensive player enters the drill, usually from the back of the defenders.
- We play to a shot. On a shot or save, we immediately clear and then begin the drill again with new players.
- Alternative is to run from the top by switching the placement of the lines.

4 Man Ground Ball into a 3v3
This drill was invented by Paul Myers. The goal of the drill is to reward the player who wins the ground ball with the opportunity to play offense. Defensively, this drill helps players drop back to the hole quickly and to find a man to cover.
- Put a goalie in the net
- Have 4 lines of guys at equal distance around the box (one line in each corner)
- Have 2 additional lines of guys, one on each side of the box, in between the 4 guys fighting for the ball
- The coach rolls the ball out, the 4 lines battle for the ground ball. The winner of the ground ball must break out, protecting the stick and the 3 guys that lose are now on defense
- Upon possession, 1 guy from each of the middle lines runs out, and is on offense with the winner of the ground ball and the drill transitions into a 3v3
