Time Drill
5 Min Active Stretching
10 Min Triangle Passing Drill

This drill is meant to be an alternative to line drills and gets many touches for kids passing and catching.

  • Have your kids get in groups of 3 and form a triangle
  • Make sure kids are moving their feet slightly when catching and throwing
  • Do some of the following
    • Pass and Catch with the outside hand, switching hands
    • Pass all righty or lefty
    • Push Pass
    • Throw backs, kids starting moving in one direction and throw back to the person behind them
    • Catch and Roll dodge
    • Ground ball roll while rotating
    • 3 guys in a line with quick passing

10 Min Pick and Slip Shooting
Pick and Slip Shooting

Purpose of this drill is to get 2 inside crease guys working together to receive a feed from behind the goal

  • Need 3 guys for the drill, 1 guy is behind the cage to one side with a bunch of balls
  • The other 2 guys can be setup either high and away(1) or setup at the 5 and 5 on each side of the cage
  • The crease guy closest to the feeder runs in, sets a pick and the other guy runs outside the pick popping out
  • The pick guy slips toward the cage and looks to receive a pass (3)
  • Pick guy becomes the shooter, with the rotation



10 Min 2 on 2 with 2 feeders

Goal is to practice the 2 crease men working together.

  • Put a goalie in the net
  • Put two feeders behind the goal on either side
  • Have a single ball, the feeders can pass to each other
  • Have 2 offense and 2 defense in front of the net
  • The 2 offense must work together to get open to get a feed from a feeder
  • Picks, repick


5 Min Water
10 Min Offense
  • Line up kids in the number positions
  • Run 32, 51
  • Run 53, 35
  • Run double numbers 33 and 55
  • Run 32, 51, 15, 23 trigger
  • Run 21 and 12
  • Work on positioning for the 6's and backing up the shot
10 Min West Genny
