Time Drill
5 Min Active Stretching
  • Ask Aidan to run the stretchs
10 Min 3-2-1 Swing it
  • Setup cones in a 3-2-1 formation (counting from the top to bottom, like its supposed to be)
  • Have the kids catch and throw around the goal, popping out and running to the ball
10 Min Motion Offense
  • two passes away cut and return
  • Swap positions with others
  • Run 6 on 6 with a skeleton defense that doesn't try to take the ball away
  • Have the offense practice cutting and returning and swapping positions
10 Min Trigger Shooting Drill
  • Create 4 lines of players at top of the box and GLE on both sides
  • Have balls start at the top then switch to below
  • Players work on each side of the field and stagger from side to side
  • Player 1 passes to player 2, simulating a middie to attack pass
  • Player 1 cuts to the goal and receives a pass from player 2 and shoots

7 Min
10 Min Face-Off to Fastbreak
  • Put a goalie in the net and 3 attack and 3 defense
  • Have your middies at the midline in two lines on opposite sides of the field
  • 4 middies are in the drill at once. Two middies face off, the middie line on their butt end side is on their team
  • We do the face off, the face off guys, look to pop the ball out to a wing guy, the wing guy that wins it goes down for a fast break, the other players are out of the game play
  • Keep score on each side of the midfield
  • Alternatives: Have a chaser middie after 2-3 seconds and have the face-off middie go mono vs mono
