Zig Zag Dodge Drill

Zig Zag Dodge Drill Setup
  • Setup 3 cones behind the cage in a z formation
  • Setup 2 cones on one side of the cage about 4-6 feet apart
  • When behind Move laterally but also up field, throw the hip when dodging
  • When you hit the inside cone at GLE, pop out to the outside cone
  • When changing direction come out faster than when you came into the dodge (accelerate out of the dodge)
  • Look to dodge to create opportunities not to dodge to score, draw a slide, make the defense uncomfortable
  • Variation: Add a defender to work on defensive footwork
