Ground Ball 3 Forms Drill
- Partner kids up with a ball and do the following phases of GB's
- Phase 1: Drop their stick, one kid rolls the ball to the other and the person does a standing ground ball with both hands (jogging towards the ball)
- Phase 2: One hand grabbing the throat of the stick, roll the ball to the other kid, switch hands
- Phase 3: Standing 2 hand scoop, roll the ball and scoop it, both butts down and place foot next to the ball

Station 1: Tom to pick guys for faceoff work
Station 2: Defense Approaches
- Cone Approaches forwards, sideways, backwards
- 3 Man approaches 3 guys and two sets of 3 cones

Double Team Drill
- Players match up one-on-one running from the midline down the side alley.
- Defender drives dodger down the alley, stays on his back hip/shoulder.
- Once the offensive player crosses the restraining line, he tries to break across the line marking the side of the box.
- A second defender slides from the middle of the “heart” to prevent the dodger from entering the box.
- Focus on sliding under control, maintaining the double team and communicating.
- The original defender should prevent the dodger from rolling back when the slide arrives.

Crunch 3v2
This drill is used to shorten the field and have players play in a condensed field, helping kids move the ball more effectively with quicker passes. When players play on a larger field everything opens up.
- Use Cones to section off the field from GLE to inside of the box
- Have 3 lines of offense, and 2 lines of defense, and a goalie in the cage
- Defenders stand out ready to play and we play 3 on 2
- Offensive players must look for quick passes, if the ball goes outside the cones the next players go

Rondo Drill to Transition drill
- Sacred Heart calls this the Loyola drill
- Have goalie, 3 attack, 3 defense in goal
- At the midline, send in 3 v 2 or 3 v 3 middies, pass the ball around in the middle with 4 consecutive passes, hit the coach with the ball, coach starts the transition into 6 v 5 or 6 v 6
